Hi! We are Carla & Eline, mother and daughter, and the faces behind Puk Products.
In our studio in the Hoeksche Waard, a green island south of Rotterdam, we design and make the coolest and most timeless children's clothing. Puk Products stands for unique, timeless, sustainable, and handmade children's clothing. Our items are recognizable by their bohemian, folk, and Scandinavian look, which we create with immense love and passion.
How nice of you to take a look at our webshop and want to find out who we are, what we do, and how Puk Products came to be. We'd love to tell you, happy reading!
Origins
Puk Products originated in 2015 during a wonderful family vacation in our favorite country, Sweden. In the forests, among the elk, foxes, and deer, we were busy painting stones. During one of our conversations, we expressed how much we enjoyed being creative and how wonderful it would be if we could do this for a living, day in and day out. From nothing came something, and voilà, Puk Products was born! We took the plunge and posted our artworks, made in Sweden, on Facebook. One thing led to another, and at one point, we also started making personalized wooden coat racks, crocheted rattles, and knitted booties. In the beginning of our adventure, we mainly received orders from friends, family, and acquaintances. But after we created an Etsy shop and an Instagram account, orders started pouring in from all over the world (yes, really!). We received orders from all over Europe, but also from the US, Canada, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand. That was awesome!
However, our hearts weren't completely in it. Carla missed her old hobby, sewing children's clothing, and wanted to pick it up again. Eline also wanted to learn to sew, and Carla enjoyed teaching Eline the tricks of the trade. We brought the old sewing machines down from the attic and started working on small projects together. This was the moment our shared passion for designing and making children's clothing was born. At the same time, we already had our own vision and taste for children's fashion. We had our own style and couldn't really find it anywhere else. We decided to start making children's clothing entirely in our own style; 'bohemian, folk & Scandinavian' with our own characteristics; 'unique, timeless, and sustainable'. And yes, the rest is history, because what started as a hobby for us grew into our own brand due to great success. And so, in June 2021, the Puk Products label was officially born!
Generations
Carla learned to sew from her mother, Grandma Riekie. And we have a funny story about Grandma Riekie...
When she was young, Grandma Riekie took sewing lessons from the nuns in the convent. At the beginning of her schooling, she had to learn how to trace patterns onto pattern paper. Grandma Riekie had drawn and cut everything out very neatly. She showed it to the nun, who said, 'Oh, you've done that neatly,' and then crumpled the pattern into a ball. Grandma Riekie was startled, at which point the nun burst out laughing. It was a joke they always played on new students. Side note: pattern paper always curls up, by crumpling it, you can smooth it out better. Grandma Riekie didn't know this, but immediately learned a good lesson!
Carla (of course!) played the same trick on Eline as the nun did on Grandma Riekie, haha!
Our biggest dream
Our biggest dream is to open our own store in the future. In our dreams, it's already decorated from top to bottom in our own style. We know exactly how we want it to be and what our idea behind it is. A little peek: a warm store for everyone, including a studio so you can see with your own eyes how our items are made, and the nicest coffee corner with the most delicious coffee and pastries from our daughter/sister Sanne. A true family store where everyone is welcome! Oh, we can't wait to make this a reality! With every order from you, we get a step closer to our dream, so grateful ♥

Our items are endlessly combinable and have a timeless character. Our items are produced by ourselves in the Netherlands and do not involve mass production. We do not work with fixed collections, so your favorite item can be ordered year after year.
